Inclusion

Inclusion

St Patrick’s CatholicPrimary School is proud to be an inclusive school.

Inclusion is the collective responsibility of the staff, governing body and the
community as a whole. Inclusion is an ongoing process that celebrates diversity and
involves the identification and minimising of barriers to learning and participation that
may be experienced by any pupils, irrespective of age, ability, gender, ethnicity,
language and social background, and the maximising of resources to reduce these
barriers.

We believe that all children are entitled to a broad and balanced curriculum and we
endeavour to make appropriate adaptations where possible, so that all children have
full access to a range of school experiences on offer. At St Patrick’s inclusion is
about supporting ALL children, as any child can need support at any time during their
school career. The inclusion team work in a flexible and creative way, removing
those barriers to learning and delivering a relevant and exciting curriculum.

If you have any concerns regarding your child please make an appointment to speak
to their class teacher or Mrs Philpott the Assistant Head Teacher/Inclusion Manager.
